2024 e'Stellar Syrah

Vibrant purple and deep, this Syrah bursts with all the spice and berry aromas you’d expect from cool- climate Shiraz. Cracked pepper and raspberries leap from the glass alongside hints of cinnamon, clove and cumin.

The palate has a prettiness — almost Pinot-like — with flavours of cumquat and juicy berries, finishing long with a crushed-stone minerality and fine, emery-board tannins.

WINEMAKING

The grapes for our Syrah were harvested from our oldest Shiraz block, E2, planted to the 1654 clone. The fruit was 100% destemmed and fermented in stainless steel with daily pump-overs for three weeks.

After pressing, the wine was matured for 10 months in 500L French oak puncheons (25% new).
